Read 2 Corinthians 1:1 through 7:16
The morals of our society have slipped to a rock-bottom low. This is apparent to anyone familiar with popular entertainment; people pay to watch others saying and doing things that dishonor God, and go on in their daily lives to imitate the sinful patterns they have seen. When they are constantly surrounded by the loud messages of the world, will anyone actually take time to listen to the still, small conviction of the Holy Spirit and turn their heart to God?
In order to know there’s a better way, unbelievers need to experience the truth of Jesus lived out by God’s children:
“Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him” (2 Corinthians 2:14).
The confusion and depravity of the world is no surprise to God. He has a solution in mind to reach the hurting and lost, and that solution is you! It’s true the world is full of garbage. But in the middle of it all, God chooses to work in our lives and through us offers those around us the fragrance of Jesus.
PRAYER SUGGESTION:
Ask God to fill your life to overflowing with Him, making you a fragrant reminder of His grace and love to all those around you.
