Read  Acts 10:24–48

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right” (Acts 10:34,35).

“Mom always liked you best” was the cry of one brother to his younger brother in a famous comedy act. Sometimes we may feel that another sibling was our parents’ favorite child. “Dad spoiled you!” we accuse. “You were the baby. You always got your own way!” Cliques abound in high schools. Even adults exclude others for various reasons.

We need to remember that God is not like us. God doesn’t have favorites. He loves everyone the same, from one country to another. Contrary to our limited nationalistic view of thinking, God loves the people in every nation equally.

Will we be prepared for heaven where there will be all tribes and tongues, all colors of skin and hair, all nationalities and backgrounds? Are we practicing here on earth?

PRAYER SUGGESTION:

Read a little bit about several countries you are not familiar with, and ask the Lord to show you new strategies of how to pray for these people.
